BOOK CLASS
“We’ve been doing yoga under the powerful influence of the fitness field. And this is something we want to erase from our practices. The more we practice, the more we must understand that Yoga is absolutely something else. It is you using your body in alignment with nature and therefore having from your body a neurological consequence in your brain.”
Francisco Kaiut
We are made to heal and to grow. Made to engage with our potential and to learn what we are capable of on a very deep level. This is the capacity of our human creature. We are capable of recovering and regenerating. We are capable of healing and of aging in a way that does not incur more and more disability, but the opportunity to grow endlessly. This is what is possible. Yoga is a tool to get us there. Yoga is a technology. It has been around for a very long time, but it might be more relevant now than ever before.
Kaiut Yoga, developed by Francisco Kaiut of Brazil, is a simple and effective Yoga Method. It addresses the body in a variety of ways to unlock Nature and unleash the healing potential within you.
Kaiut Yoga classes utilize the seed of traditional Yoga poses, applied to the modern body and the modern lifestyle. All the poses are progressive. This means that they are accessible for any body of any age, stage and ability. There is no “right” version of any pose, only what your body is able to do in this moment. Kaiut Yoga is not about forcing your body to do something that looks like the perfect picture you have seen in a yoga journal. It is about discovering what you personally can do and regaining mobility and adaptability as you age. Much of the work is done on the floor at a gentle pace with very accessible guidance.
Kaiut Yoga reflects the needs of the modern human: down regulating and balancing our overworked nervous systems, holistically addressing the effects of too much sitting and the impacts of repetitive use, maintaining and even recovering the mobility in worn out and aging joints. This practice restores the body’s natural ability to balance, heal and evolve. As we regain our freedom of movement old injures heal, chronic tension and stiffness dissolve, and we become more mobile and flexible in all aspects of life.
